Alvaro Quiros won the Dubai tournament
Cadiz golfer Alvaro Quiros won the Omega Sunday Dubai Desert Classic, a tournament belongs to the European Tour golf, after overcoming a stroke ahead of South African James Kingston and the Dane Anders Hansen.

After committing a triple bogey on whole 8, it seemed that Quiros began to lose steam in the fight for the title, but a special hole in one in 11 allowed Quirós reborn from the ashes.

Eventually the Spanish ended the day with 68, 4 under par, giving a final card with 2 birdies, 2 eagles, one bogey and a triple bogey, making a total of 277 impacts during the 4 day tournament.

To Quirós this was his seventh title on the European Tour and the first this season, which also lets you scale up to the twentieth position in the world ranking, being in this moment the best placed of us.

Hansen finished behind Quiros and Kingston with 278 strokes, while the fourth position was shared by Australian Scott Strange, Jean Baptiste Gonnet French and Spanish Alvaro Velasco, another great performance, all with 279 strokes.

Jose Maria Olazabal has also completed a very good tournament culminating fifteenth with 283 impacts, while Sergio Garcia and Rafael Cabrera Bello ended in the twentieth position.

Garcia has made promising first two rounds of 67 strokes, but in the last two performance declined and was losing a chance of fighting for victory.
