Bridgestone analyzes the U.S. Grand Prix
Casey Stoner (Repsol Honda) took the win in the tenth round of the MotoGP World Championship 2011, the Red Bull Grand Prix of the United States, played at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The Australian used the slick tire with harder compound for, starting from third position on the grid, to take a significant victory in a legendary track.
Like Stoner, the other two occupants of the podium, Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha Factory Racing) and Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda), carried by the harder compound both before and after. The same option was chosen by Andrea Dovizioso (Repsol Honda), fifth, and Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini), which fell when he was fifth.
Despite the high track temperatures near 46 degrees, three drivers opted for the former compound softer, and 12 of the 17 participants chose the mix for softer rear tire. Even with all this compound on the rear wheel has displayed great consistency, and served to Ben Spies (Yamaha Factory Racing) to pass Dovizioso on the final leg of the race and take over fourth place.

Stoner Set The Fastest Time in Free Practice at Laguna Seca
The Australian rider Casey Stoner (Ducati) set the fastest time in free practice at the Grand Prix of the United States, scoring ninth round of the MotoGP World Championship, where the Spanish Jorge Lorenzo finished second.
Stoner, who dominated for most of the session, set a timer for 1 minute, 21 seconds and 699 cents. The ‘Aussie’ – winner at Laguna Seca in 2007 – showed his love affair with the American track and ran as the main favorite to win the pole position Saturday.
In addition, Stoner noted for his excellent timing, which was in line with the time he got Pedrosa (Honda) last year. The de Castellar del Vallés, ‘polemical’ in 2009 and won the Grand Prize at the time, opted for the set-up and will be this Saturday when they have to improve to stay on the line that marked the last weekend in Germany. Pedrosa sealed the fourth fastest time.
The second place went to Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha), who along with Stoner became the only two riders able to lower the barrier of minutes and 22 seconds. Dani Pedrosa Will Go First to San Marino
It is confirmed, the Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa runs across a great time. The second in the championship won the pole position at the San Marino Grand Prix MotoGP.
Unfortunately for their interests, the second was his compatriot Jorge Lorenzo, who lost not tread.
