Toro Rosso Keeping Faith

width="280"Although Red Bull’s Young Driver Development programme guarantees the presence of hopefuls keen to make the final step into Formula One, team principal Franz Tost said he sees no reason to make changes.

Switzerland’s Buemi, 21, and Spaniard Alguersuari, 20, have competed in just 27 and 18 grands prix respectively and complete the youngest driver line-up of any Formula One team.

Tost, however, believes the team will benefit more and more as their drivers gain experience.
Improvement

“Our drivers still lack F1 experience compared to the majority of their colleagues,” said Tost.

“Therefore, as they get more track time with every race, I expect to see an improvement in the final half of the season.

“It is not just a case of their driving getting better, because it is also true their understanding and engineering feedback improves, which is vital if we are to get the most out of our package. Read the rest of this entry »
