Almagro, Robredo and ‘Feli’ say goodbye
They have not been able to start things worse for the Spanish in the 1000 Cincinnati Masters, second round of the American tour. Our first participants have gone home to the first change in a bad day for the ‘Armada’. The three continue their activities after their premature discrete deletions in the recently concluded Toronto Masters 1000.
Almagro said goodbye against Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka 6-3 double. The Swiss did not miss their balls break, unlike the Spanish player who did not respond at key moments of the match. The Murcia could not break at any time the demanding pace set by its rival.
Another bad news reached us by Feliciano Lopez who could do nothing against the local player, Taylor Dent, succumbing in straight sets 6-3 6-2. The strong conditioned U.S. service the party, due to the inability of Toledo by subtracting its rival. Feliciano acknowledged his lack of pace throughout the match and fell in the first round, as in Toronto.
For his part, Tommy Robredo could not beat Germany’s Michael Berrer, despite winning the first leg: 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-6 (8).
Nadal Pending
Nadal is already prepared to win the Cincinnati Masters 1000 single that resists the number one in the world after his performance in Toronto, despite their semi-final elimination at the hands of the ‘winner’ Andy Murray. David Ferrer, Tommy Robredo and Fernando Verdasco also fight for completing a well in the antechamber of the U.S. Open.
